# Bybit Google Authenticator set up


### ${color}[#d93f7d](How to configure security authentication.)

1. **On the ${color}[#ff0068](Home) screen, tap on the ${color}[#ff0068](User) icon.**

2. **Tap on ${color}[#ff0068](Security).**

3. **Tap on ${color}[#ff0068](Google 2FA Authentication).**

4. **Bybit will send you a verification code to your email inbox. Once you enter that code, you will see the details to link your Bybit account to Google Authenticator.**
**You will see a code called a ${color}[#ff0068](Setup key), copy that code.**

5. **In your Google Authenticator app, select the option ${color}[#ff0068](Enter a setup key).**

6. **Now enter the account details.**
**Name it "Bybit" and paste the setup key you copied from Bybit into the ${color}[#ff0068](Your key) box.**
**Then tap on ${color}[#ff0068](Add).**

7. **Go back to Bybit, enter the code generated by Google Authenticator and the new security layer will be established.**
